At CELLER8, we are always striving to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. We have taken this approach with our biohacker era hoodies, and we have achieved significant environmental savings.
915,400 litres of water saved through using organic cotton. That’s equivalent to the amount of water 12,185 people drink in an entire year.
250 kg of CO₂ saved by using renewable energy in production combined with tree-planting initiatives. This is comparable to the carbon dioxide absorbed by 11 mature trees over a year.
60.7 kg of plastic saved through the use of natural materials. That's about the same weight as 3,035 plastic bottles.
Remilling Your Hoodie: How It Works
Every t-shirt and hoodie we sell is designed to be sent back to the factory once it has been worn out. There is a QR code on every wash care label that leads to Remillfibre.com. This page contains instructions on how to send your products back to be remilled and remade into something new.
It doesn't just end with our t-shirts and hoodies; you can also send back any 100% cotton clothing from your wardrobe made by any other brand, excluding denim and underwear. This is then used to make new products with the material recovered. You will then be issued one Remill voucher per item via email.
